A: No, the nature of this business does not permit offering C.O.D. payments

Q: Can payments be left with a neighbor, in case of an emergency so that I don't miss my scheduled delivery?
A: No, Grocerytaxi cannot make such exceptions in fairness to other scheduled ,deliveries.You can schedule a delivery to any address of choice, however this must be done at time of order by changing the delivery address on the personal information sheet.

Q: How do your prices compare with supermarket prices?
A: Our prices are competitive with grocery store pricing on popular items.

Q: Do you have items on sale?
A: Yes; we are constantly looking for special deals, which can be passed on to our customers. The current list of specials is available here.

Q: Do you accept coupons?
A: No, we cannot accept coupons.
Saving Items to a List

This is a very important and useful feature which you should take time to review as it will save over 90% of shopping time.

 Always keep in mind that the system automatically saves for you any and all products purchased under the title (you guessed it "All Items Purchased"). This is done whenever there are items in the shopping cart and you click "Checkout" whether you actually finish checking out or not, but merely click that button.

You can also save anything that is in the shopping cart either from an actual order being placed or from a group of products you are arbitrarily are adding with the sole purpose of saving.

Lets try one. We have an order in progress and are about to checkout, but first want to review it and save some of the items.

- Start by clicking the "Review Order" button to see clearly all items in cart and decide which to save from what you are buying.
- Click on all desired to save, if the entire list is being saved simply click box at top which selects all, then in the box "Save Selected Items to List" it asks you which list you want to save them to if you already have lists created previously or note there is one for creating a new list in which you can give it your own name.
-This one we'll call "Test list" and save. Note that this newly saved list appears with dark green heading identifying it as such not to be confused with shopping cart which has an actual cart image in the background.

The combinations are limitless, but the common denominator to all is time savings. Combine lists, pull items from previously saved lists or from the "All Items Purchased" list. Once you master this ther will be very little actual shopping and orders will take no longer then a couple of minutes to complete from Login to Checkout guaranteed.

Q: Is there a charge for deliveries?
A: NO not for orders over $120.00. There is a nominal charge of $7.99 for orders under $120.00, to help offset delivery costs.

Q: Is there is there an order minimum?
A: Yes, you order must be at least $80.

Q: Can I specify when I want my order delivered, so that I don"t have to wait around?
A: Yes, absolutely. There are a few different choices from which to choose. You can schedule a time and date of choice, or even schedule recurring orders which order themselves.

Q: How dependable are these deliveries, can I expect my order somewhere in the ballpark of the time I scheduled it for?
A: Yes, we make this a priority in our business and don"t depend on outsource deliveries. We use our own trucks and drivers in order to provide the most reliable service rain or shine. Although we cannot guarantee times due to unpredictable traffic and weather, in cases when times are not met, we will gladly reschedule to a customers convenient time at no additional cost to customer.

Q: Won't perishables spoil from being inside a truck on a hot humid day?
A: NO, our temperature controlled refrigerated trucks are equipped to handle the most punishing weather.

Q: What about safety. How can I trust a stranger coming into my property?
A: We have taken every step necessary to make your experience a pleasant one and safe one by:

Delivery Charges

Delivery is FREE for orders totaling $120.00 or more Orders between $80.00 and $119.00 will incur $7.99 delivery charge. There is a 20% Restocking charge when rescheduling not possible within 24 hours of first attempt to deliver.

Delivery Hours

GroceryTaxi delivery hours are 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM Monday thru Friday: and 9:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. Saturdays. Delivery hours and days may vary without notice. GroceryTaxi does not deliver on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.

No tipping please. Grocerytaxi discourages drivers from accepting gratuities, however we will not restrict a customer from doing so.

In order to provide you with the best service possible in fulfilling your grocery order, we offer the ability to specify whether you would like substitutions for unavailable items on your order.

During check out, you can set your substitution preference for the entire order and also change it for individual items.

Substitution Options

Allow Substitutions:

If you choose to allow substitution on an item, we will only substitute when the exact ordered item is unavailable. If it is unavailable, we will try to substitute it with an equal or greater brand if a comparable product is available.

For example, if you order Del Monte Canned Peaches and allow substitution, if the item is unavailable, we may substitute Dole canned peaches.

If you have ordered a store brand or generic, we may replace it with a named brand if the item is unavailable. We generally never replace named brand items with generics or store brands even if substitution is allowed.

No Substitutions Allowed:

If you specify no substitution on an item, if the exact item is unavailable, we will not replace it with a comparable item and will credit the unavailable item to your order.

One exception is that we may substitute for different package sizing.

For example, if you order an Ocean Spray 64 oz Cranberry Juice, we may substitute two 32 oz bottles if the 64 oz is unavailable.

Otherwise, no substitution will be made for an unavailable item.

How to Set Your Substitution Preferences For Your Order:

When you choose the Check Out or Review Order option, you are taken to a page to review your order before checking out.

At the top of the page, there is a section called Substitution Preference For Order.

Click on Choose Your Preference, and choose either Allow Substitutions or No Substitutions. This will change the option for each item on your order to what you chose.

In the Your Order section, you can set the option for individual items by clicking on the dropdown that shows the current substitution option for that item (either Allow Substitution or No Substitution). Click on the option you would like to update it for that item.

How to Set Your Default Preference for Substitution:

If you want to permanently change the default substitution option for your orders, you can select it in My Account > View / Edit Personal Information.

In the Account Details section, there is an Allow Substitutions option. Select your preference and click on Save Changes to update your account. The new substitution option will be the default for future orders.

Delivery Commitment

Within 30 days after delivery, you may return any product purchased from Grocerytaxi for full credit, with proof of purchase. We regret that we are unable to accept returns of perishable (frozen, refrigerated) or opened items with expiration dates after delivery date, unless the item is spoiled.

Regulated Products (Alcohol & Tobacco)

Grocerytaxi complies with state and federal alcohol and tobacco laws. Regulated products which include, but are not limited to, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, require that the recipient be of legal age to purchase and consume these products.

At the time of delivery, the recipient must show the driver a photo government issued ID with proof of age, such as passport or drivers license. If a qualified adult is not available to take delivery, those products will not be left under any circumstance, and any applicable rescheduling charges will be charged.


Grocerytaxi has also adopted the above law to include alcoholic beverages not being sold to anyone under TWENTY-ONE YEARS OF AGE.
